START PLAYING PIANO RIGHT AWAY WITH MY FUN, ENGAGING, AND ENRICHING AT-HOME LESSONS!
Over nearly a decade of teaching piano in Los Angeles, I worked with all types of students: from elementary aged children exploring new activities to high school students trying to fill out their resumes; from toddlers still developing their motor skills to octogenarians trying to keep their minds sharp...
I have also taught:
- programmers and tech entrepreneurs looking for a meditative escape from work
- music producers who could create a hit but had no formal training
- a stand-up comedian hoping to incorporate music into his act
- a pop musician who wanted to write solo piano arrangements
- high-profile Hollywood actors, producers, and executives.

Now based in Barcelona, I am conveniently available for piano lessons AT YOUR HOME in L'Eixample, the Gothic Quarter, Sant Antoni, Gràcia, Sant Gervasi, La Barceloneta, Les Corts, Sant Cugat, or anywhere else in the city!
Whether you are a beginner or have years of experience, I will help you tap into your creativity and love of music. You will be having fun with the music-making process from your very first piano lesson!

THE EXPERIENCE
My forty-five minute at-home piano lessons are filled with enough variety to keep even learners with short attention spans engaged. I use written exercises; a diversity of musical genres including classical, jazz, and pop; fun games; sing-alongs; and ear training to break lessons into digestible chunks with a sense of flow.
Classes with me are challenging and stimulating, and my students learn a great deal quickly... but it is of utmost importance to me that they enjoy what they are doing! Above all, I want my students to have fun playing piano; to approach music with curiosity and a sense of play.
My hopes and expectations for my students are not that they will necessarily be world-renowned concert pianists, but that they will develop a hobby that they can explore for years to come.

ABOUT ME
My own musical journey began at six years old. I studied classical and jazz piano with two extraordinary teachers before I went off to Columbia University in New York City, from which I earned a Bachelors Degree in History. Throughout my adult life, I have played in rock, pop and folk bands.
I recently moved to Barcelona with my Catalan wife Laia, our dog Tati, and our cat Mixu! I speak Spanish and I am learning Catalan.
